Soccer Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ottumwa Bulldogs. Even if Jefferson couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Ottumwa, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2-1.

Looking ahead, Jefferson will square off against Iowa City at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Ottumwa, they will face off against Mt. Pleasant at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
