Football Recap: McNair Mustangs vs. Lamar County Trojans
McNair was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell just short of the Lamar County Trojans by a score of 19-16.
McNair's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lamar County, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McNair will venture away from home to challenge Jasper County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jasper County will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something McNair surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lamar County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Towers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lamar County's defense has only allowed 12.2 points per game this season, so Towers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
