Recap: Quanah Indians vs. Wheeler Mustangs
The Quanah Indians suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Wheeler by a score of 37-35. Quanah was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wheeler apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Austin Adkins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wheeler, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds. Barrett Meadows was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds.
Quanah's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Wheeler, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
Quanah will head out on the road to challenge Memphis at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Memphis is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Wheeler will take on Clarendon at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
