Softball Recap: Mitchell Gets the Win

Mitchell won the last time they faced Pierre T.F. Riggs and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Kernels came out on top against the Governors by a score of 9-4.

Rylee Jennings made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Jennings was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Matteah Graves, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Delaney Linke was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
