Richmond had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Lutheran North on Saturday. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Mustangs. Considering the Blue Devils have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Richmond is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Lutheran North, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 22-6 record.

Looking ahead, Richmond will challenge Utica Ford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lutheran North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
