NCSSM: Durham had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 38-21 victory over the Franklin Academy Patriots. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Unicorns also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Franklin Academy still got an impressive performance from Iliana Rodriguez, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 10 points and five rebounds.

NCSSM: Durham is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Franklin Academy, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. NCSSM: Durham won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Falls Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
