Football Game Preview: Conneaut Spartans vs. Jefferson Area Falcons

For the first time this season, Conneaut will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to face off against the Jefferson Area Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Conneaut will be strutting in after a win while Jefferson Area will be coming in after a loss.

Conneaut took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Lutheran West by a score of 31-21. The Spartans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Jefferson Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 37-18 fall against Harvey. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly 19 points.

Jefferson Area now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Conneaut, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-3.

Conneaut was dealt a bruising 50-0 loss at the hands of Jefferson Area in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
