Volleyball Recap: Niskayuna Comes Up Short

Niskayuna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Mount Academy Eagles. The Silver Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Mount Academy can attribute much of their success to Marion Winter, who had 16 assists and three digs.

Niskayuna's loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Mount Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3-1 record this season.

Niskayuna will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Shaker at 4:15 p.m. on the 21st. As for Mount Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against St. Mary's on the 11th.
