Baseball Recap: San Jacinto Valley Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against California Military Institute

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Jacinto Valley Academy). They blew past the California Military Institute Rough Riders 25-5 on Monday. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Rough Riders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

San Jacinto Valley Academy got a massive performance out of Carter Kelly, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs Kelly has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Prince Alvarado, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Kelly wasn't the only one making solid contact: San Jacinto Valley Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The Wolves are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

San Jacinto Valley Academy pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.2 runs over those games. As for California Military Institute, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
