Recap: Scholars Guild Academy Spartans vs. Konos Academy
On Thursday, Scholars Guild Academy came up short against Konos Academy and fell 62-50. Scholars Guild Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Henry Rumble, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Rumble is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah McIlvain, who scored 6 points along with 3 steals.
Konos Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaron Cramer, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ben Swann, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Scholars Guild Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Konos Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scholars Guild Academy will square off against Killian Hill Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Killian Hill Christian is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Konos Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Hearts Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
