Kossuth is a perfect 10-0 against Alcorn Central since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Aggies will be playing at home against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. Kossuth will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Friday, Kossuth took their matchup with ease, bagging a 47-7 victory over Mantachie. That looming 47-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Aggies yet this season.

Kossuth's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eli Tays led the charge by rushing for 32 yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Kossuth was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 221 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 150 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Alcorn Central and Booneville meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Bears lost to the Blue Devils at home by a 42-28 margin.

Kossuth will have to keep a close watch on Ty Whitten and Jayden Taylor, a pair of players who had a big impact on Alcorn Central's prior game. Whitten rushed for 133 yards, while Taylor picked up 113 receiving yards and one TD. An impressive showing, but Taylor really ramped things up playing D: he forced two fumbles and made 11 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Alcorn Central dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Kossuth, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything came up roses for Kossuth against Alcorn Central in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 43-0 victory. Will the Aggies repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
