Basketball Recap: Webster City Comes Up Short

Webster City lost against St. Edmond back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Webster City Lynx took a blow against the St. Edmond Gaels, falling 68-38. While losing is never fun, the Lynx can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Gaels are ranked 46th).

Webster City's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for St. Edmond, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Looking ahead, Webster City will take on Humboldt at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. St. Edmond does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
