Softball Game Preview: Magnolia Sentinels vs. Estancia Eagles

The Magnolia Sentinels will take on the Estancia Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Magnolia has given up an average of 17.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Magnolia is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They fell 23-19 to Century. Even if the Sentinels couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Meanwhile, Estancia came up short against Loara on Friday, falling 9-3.

Jaydin McClure spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and five unearned) runs on ten hits. Those hits were her first of the season.

At the plate, Estancia saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Aleki, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That run was Aleki's first of the season.

Estancia dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Magnolia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
