West Jefferson had won four straight on the road, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 11-3 to make it five. They blew past the Fairbanks Panthers 17-2. The result was nothing new for the Roughriders, who have now won nine matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

As for Fairbanks, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

For Fairbanks' part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Rhea, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Rhea has hit this season.

West Jefferson will have a chance to go back-to-back against Fairbanks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
