Soccer Recap: Montezuma-Cortez Comes Up Short

Montezuma-Cortez lost against Pagosa Springs back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Pirates. Considering the last time Montezuma-Cortez couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Montezuma-Cortez's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-3. As for Pagosa Springs, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Montezuma-Cortez will square off against rival Bayfield at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Pagosa Springs is set to face off against their familiar foe Alamosa at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
