Girard strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Lakeview Bulldogs, posting a 35-0 win. Give the Indians' offense some serious credit: that high-scoring performance was actually the fewest points they've scored all season.

A big part of Girard's victory came down to the chemistry between AJ Pearson and his top target Sam Scott. Pearson rushed for 121 yards and three scores on only 14 carries while Scott rushed for 105 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries. Pearson is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Girard proved: they limited Lakeview to a paltry 2.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Allen Hess-Cardona for the heroic effort on defense: he. Girard didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.8.

Girard's defense didn't let Asa Lantz., get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, Hess-Cardona was the leader with two sacks.

Girard's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Lakeview, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
