Basketball Recap: Cook Hornets vs. Appling County Pirates
Cook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Appling County Pirates, falling 61-21. The game marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Keniyah White was her usual excellent self, putting up 23 points for Appling County. That makes it four consecutive games in which White has scored at least a third of Appling County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Erica Clemons, who posted five points in addition to eight boards and five steals.
Cook's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Appling County, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 18-7.
