Basketball Game Preview: West Point-Beemer Cadets vs. Pierce Bluejays

The West Point-Beemer Cadets will face off against the Pierce Bluejays at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Point-Beemer will be strutting in after a victory while Pierce will be coming in after a defeat.

On Saturday, West Point-Beemer needed a bit of extra time to put away Wisner-Pilger. They walked away with a 54-46 win over the Gators. The victory was nothing new for the Cadets as they're now sitting on three straight.

Allie Kaup continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 12 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of West Point-Beemer's points. Another player making a difference was Campbell Snodgrass, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 15 points and six rebounds.

West Point-Beemer smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Pierce entered their game against Battle Creek on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Pierce fell 49-39 to Battle Creek.

West Point-Beemer's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Pierce, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.
