Football Recap: San Dimas Gets the Win

San Dimas won the last time they faced Don Lugo and things went their way on Saturday too. The Saints slipped by the Conquistadores 13-12. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Saints' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Conquistadores are ranked 368th).

The critical scores for San Dimas came from Faith Kearns and Ava Aguiar.

San Dimas didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aguiar and Kearns. Aguiar got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

San Dimas' victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Don Lugo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

San Dimas didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 68-0 win against Pioneer on the 8th. As for Don Lugo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 25-2 victory against Los Osos on the 9th.
