Softball Game Preview: Tri-Valley Scotties vs. Sheridan Generals

For the second straight game, Tri-Valley will face off against Sheridan. The Scotties will head out on the road to face off against the Generals at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Tri-Valley 3.7, Sheridan 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Monday, Tri-Valley came up short against Sheridan and fell 5-2. The game marked the Scotties' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Paiton Murphy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on nine hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Alivia Reffitt was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Delaney Bell, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Sheridan has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Tri-Valley, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 11-5.
