Softball Recap: Acadiana Christian Comes Up Short

Acadiana Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-10 to the Christian Home Educators Fellowship Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-11 back in February.

Lillien Richard stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Grace Bollich was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Acadiana Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Christian Home Educators Fellowship, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Acadiana Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cajun Christian Athletics on March 24th. As for Christian Home Educators Fellowship, they will face off against Psalms Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
