Basketball Preview: Balboa School vs. The Rock National Lions

Balboa School is on a four-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while the Lions are on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. Balboa School will take on The Rock National Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Balboa School has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 904 points over their last 13 matches.

Even though A scored an imposing 71 points on Sunday, Balboa School still came out on top. Balboa School narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Accelerated Prep 73-71.

Balboa School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jahmarian Forrester, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Forrester hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Travis Musonda, who scored 13 points along with two blocks.

Meanwhile, The Rock National made easy work of the Ascenders on Saturday and carried off a 75-51 victory. Given The Rock National's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Ascenders are ranked 115th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Balboa School is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for The Rock National, their win bumped their record up to 19-8.
