While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings  (they are ranked 567th, while the Eagles are ranked 200th).

McLane lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Demetrius Simon, who  went 7-for-11  en route to 17 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to  field goal percentage, as he's  posted one of at least 45% in the last eight games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Keyvon Burcher, who  posted 13  points.
 Even though they lost, McLane  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 11  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive rebounds in seven consecutive  games.
