Basketball Game Preview: Toll Gate Titans vs. Narragansett Mariners

The Toll Gate Titans will venture away from home to face off against the Narragansett Mariners at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Toll Gate came up short against Cumberland on Thursday, falling 39-18.

Mary McNulty was Toll Gate's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Aria Eddy held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Narragansett faced East Providence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Narragansett was the clear victor by a 55-32 margin over East Providence. The Mariners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 22 points or more this season.

Toll Gate dropped their record down to 1-16 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Narragansett, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2.

Toll Gate came out on top in a nail-biter against Narragansett in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 33-30. Will Toll Gate repeat their success, or does Narragansett have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
