Basketball Recap: Kenston Forest Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Kenston Forest lost against Brunswick Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kenston Forest Kavaliers took a hard 34-16 fall against the Brunswick Academy Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Kavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Vikings are ranked 122nd).

Despite the loss, Kenston Forest saw an underclassman step up: freshman Hartly Andrews posted five points in addition to 14 boards and four blocks. The dominant performance gave Andrews a new career-high in blocks.

Kenston Forest's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-7. As for Brunswick Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Kenston Forest will face off against Tidewater Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brunswick Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 41-36 win against Fuqua on the 5th.
