Volleyball Recap: Russell Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against Fairview on Tuesday, Russell came back down to earth. The Red Devils fell just short of the Blazer Tomcats by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tomcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in September.

Russell's loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 23-9. As for Blazer, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-4 record this season.

Russell will square off against Shelby Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Blazer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
