Softball Game Preview: Westmoreland Eagles vs. Chancellor Chargers

The Westmoreland Eagles will face off against the Chancellor Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Westmoreland will be strutting in after a victory while Chancellor will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Westmoreland earned a 7-4 win over Northumberland. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Chancellor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 31st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-2 to Eastern View.

Chancellor saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Francesca Williams, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Ashlyn Smith also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Westmoreland now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Chancellor, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Everything went Westmoreland's way against Chancellor in their previous meeting last Monday, as Westmoreland made off with a 26-8 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
