Basketball Recap: Elyria Christian Falls to Classical in First Game of Season

Elyria Christian kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 47-36 to the Classical Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Elyria Christian of the 66-46 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Classical's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mack Dolloff, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. Abe Black was another key player, shooting 50% from the field en route to 14 points and three steals.

Elyria Christian has already played their next contest (against Moundridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Classical, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Central Christian at 7:00 p.m.
