Volleyball Recap: Stone Memorial Beats Cumberland County for Their Third Straight Victory

Stone Memorial proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Cumberland County Jets 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Lucy Grothe paced Stone Memorial's offense, picking up 15 kills. Grothe got some help from Sadie Howard and her 16 assists. Dalayna Inman controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Cumberland County's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Seitner, who had 23 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Howard, who had nine digs and three aces.

Stone Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Cumberland County, their loss dropped their record down to 23-18.

Stone Memorial has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Upperman on the 7th. Cumberland County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
