Basketball Recap: Camanche Gets the Win

Camanche hadn't done well against Cascade recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Camanche Indians had just enough and edged the Cascade Cougars out 39-36. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Cougars back in December of 2024, they had to take a 57-22 defeat.

Camanche pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Cascade, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Camanche has already played their next game (against Anamosa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Cascade Cougars duke it out with the Monticello Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Monticello will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Cascade surely won't give up without a fight.
