Softball Recap: St. Mary Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

St. Mary won the last time they faced Lennox and things went their way on Monday too. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Orioles. Considering the Cardinals have won six games by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

St. Mary's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lennox, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

St. Mary wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-3 defeat against West Central on the 28th. As for Lennox, they have also already played their next match, a 14-4 loss against Tri-Valley on the 28th.
