Softball Recap: Williams Field Comes Up Short

Williams Field was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Desert Ridge Jaguars, falling 15-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 last Tuesday.

Williams Field saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Childress, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Gianna Kilmer was another, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Williams Field's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12-1. As for Desert Ridge, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-6.

Williams Field wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 19-4 win against Kellis on the 11th. As for Desert Ridge, they have also already played their next match, an 11-1 loss against Highland on the 14th.
