Recap: Youngker Roughriders vs. Copper Canyon Aztecs
The Youngker Roughriders won the last time they faced the Copper Canyon Aztecs, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Youngker sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-52 victory over Copper Canyon.
It was another big night for Xavier Hargrove, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Ares Chambers, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
The victory got Youngker back to even at 5-5. As for Copper Canyon, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
Youngker will be playing in front of their home fans against Buckeye at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Copper Canyon, they will head out on the road to face off against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
