Football Game Preview: Praise Academy Lions vs. Fideles Christian Rangers + Official Tickets

The Praise Academy Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Fideles Christian Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Praise Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Fideles Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Friday, Praise Academy made easy work of Peoples Baptist Academy and carried off a 30-6 win. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won seven in a row.

Praise Academy found their leader in sophomore Hunter Ivey, who rushed for 18 yards and one TD, and also threw for 78 yards and one touchdown. Ivey's superb passer rating of 177.1 also marked a new season-high. Brandon Ivey made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Praise Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Elijah Morgan and Ivey. Ivey got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Fideles Christian scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 68-61 to Harvester Christian Academy.

Praise Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Fideles Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Praise Academy was dealt a bruising 73-36 defeat at the hands of Fideles Christian in their previous matchup back in October of 2021. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
