Recap: Upson-Lee Knights vs. Jackson Red Devils

The Upson-Lee Knights had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 57-46 victory over Jackson. That's another feather in the cap for Upson-Lee, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Morgan Smith and Ariyah Burke certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Smith scored 15 points along with three steals, while Burke scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Smith scored 15 or more points.

Upson-Lee is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. As for Jackson, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peach County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Upson-Lee in Georgia (Peach County is ranked 135th, while Upson-Lee is ranked 291st). As for Jackson, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mary Persons at 6:00 p.m. Mary Persons will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
