Recap: Anacostia Indians vs. DuVal Tigers
The Anacostia Indians had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down DuVal 53-36 on Tuesday. For Anacostia, this counts as revenge for the 40-22 defeat DuVal walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Nayjah Duvall had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was LaNiya Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Anacostia's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for DuVal, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Anacostia will take on Surrattsville at 5:40 p.m. on Friday. As for DuVal, they will head out on the road to face off against Parkdale at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
