Basketball Recap: Andrew Kasat Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Roeper

Lutheran Northwest won the last time they faced Roeper and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Lutheran Northwest Crusaders walked away with a 51-38 victory over the Roeper Roughriders.

Lutheran Northwest got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Andrew Kasat out in front who went 7 of 15 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Henry, who posted nine points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

Lutheran Northwest is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for Roeper, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lutheran Northwest will venture away from home to face off against Inter-City Baptist at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Inter-City Baptist knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Lutheran Northwest likes a good challenge. As for Roeper, they will head out on the road to challenge Plymouth Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
