Basketball Recap: Boca Ciega Gets the Win

Boca Ciega hadn't done well against Lakewood recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Boca Ciega Pirates managed a 53-47 win over the Lakewood Spartans. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Spartans back in December of 2024, they had to take a 51-45 defeat.

Jelani Nix Jr continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 5 of 7 en route to 14 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Anthony Brown, who posted seven points and six boards.
