Softball Recap: Lampeter-Strasburg Comes Up Short

Lampeter-Strasburg fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Twin Valley on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Pioneers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Natalie Hill spent all 8.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lampeter-Strasburg saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kinsley Ferreira, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Lampeter-Strasburg's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Twin Valley, the victory was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-2.

As of now, neither Lampeter-Strasburg nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
