Basketball Recap: Peshtigo Comes Up Short

Peshtigo lost against Gillett last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Peshtigo Bulldogs lost 67-45 to the Gillett Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 259th, while the Tigers are ranked 119th).

Peshtigo has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Gillett, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Peshtigo will welcome Gibraltar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Peshtigo is facing Gibraltar at the right time seeing as Gibraltar is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Gillett has already played their next contest (against Wausaukee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
