Soccer Recap: Monrovia Comes Up Short

Monrovia lost against Owen Valley back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 2-1. Monrovia have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Makhy Laforete, which was the first he's scored this season.

Monrovia's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monrovia will face off against Cascade at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Owen Valley, they will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Sullivan at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
