Recap: Poolesville Falcons vs. Whitman Vikings
The Poolesville Falcons lost against the Whitman Vikings back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Poolesville took a 52-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Whitman. Poolesville has struggled against Whitman recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Whitman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evan Brown led the charge by scoring 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Farrell, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Poolesville now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Whitman, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.
Poolesville will be home for the holidays to greet Damascus at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Whitman, they will head out on the road to face off against Landon at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Landon is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
