Baseball Recap: Bishop Moore Takes a Loss

After flying high against Oviedo last Wednesday, Bishop Moore came back down to earth. The Hornets fell 3-0 to the Timber Creek Wolves on Friday. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Nate Davis was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Bishop Moore's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Timber Creek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.

Coming up, Bishop Moore will head out to take on Mount Dora at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hurricanes will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Timber Creek, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-4 win against Lake Nona on the 7th.
