Fuquay - Varina posted their closest win since May 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Willow Spring Storm 5-3. This was payback for the Bengals, who suffered a 10-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Julie Selig was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Webb, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Fuquay - Varina's record now sits at 6-3. As for Willow Spring, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fuquay - Varina will square off against rival Clayton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Willow Spring is set to face off against their familiar foe Corinth Holders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
