Softball Recap: Pembroke Wins Going Away Against Holley

Pembroke had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Holley on Friday. The Dragons blew past the Hawks 14-1. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Hannah Anderson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adalyn Ball, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Pembroke was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Pembroke's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Holley, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pembroke is set to square off against their familiar foe Alexander at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Holley will face off against rival Kendall at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
