Soccer Recap: Greeneville Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten goals the game before, Greeneville was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They lost 7-1 to the West Rebels. While losing is never fun, Greeneville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 131st, while West are ranked 21st).

Greeneville has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6-1 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four contests. As for West, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2-1.

Greeneville didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Gallatin on the 5th. As for West, they have also already played their next match, a 9-0 victory against Heritage on the 8th.
