Baseball Recap: Crystal Springs Uplands Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

On Monday Crystal Springs Uplands's undefeated season almost came to an end. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the More Knights. While the Gryphons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Rohan Seiber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Nico Abad was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Crystal Springs Uplands' victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for More, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Crystal Springs Uplands will welcome Priory at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for More, they will venture away from home to challenge Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
