Volleyball Recap: Saguaro Takes Down Mesquite in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Saguaro walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Mesquite Wildcats on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Sabercats, who have now won six matchups in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 22-25, 25-15, 25-15.

Leading Saguaro to victory were Amelia Scheidt and Nylah Bibby. Scheidt had nine digs, while Bibby had 31 kills, 17 digs, five aces, and one block. Bibby has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 18 times she's played.

Deliliah Nielsen and Cami White certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Nielsen had 18 assists and four aces, while White had 16 assists and four digs.

Saguaro's win bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Mesquite, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 25-8.

Saguaro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against ALA - Queen Creek on the 10th. Mesquite does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
