Volleyball Recap: Exeter Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Exeter faced off against New Heights Christian Academy on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

While Exeter was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into New Heights Christian Academy's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-16.

This is the second loss in a row for Exeter and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for New Heights Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7-4 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Exeter and Hurley will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for New Heights Christian Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Hillcrest at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
