After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Florence, Safford was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed by the Rincon/University Rangers at home to the tune of 42-6. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Safford's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Cole Yentsch and Cole Goodman. Yentsch picked up 78 receiving yards and a touchdown while Goodman picked up 104 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Goodman also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making a tackle (1.0 for loss) and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.

The victory got Safford back to even at 2-2. As for Rincon/University, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.
